LB Bishop Signs 1-Year Deal With Vikings
Free agent linebacker Desmond Bishop chose the Vikings over the Giants and Chiefs on Monday, according to a tweet from his agent, Blake Baratz.
A sixth-round draft pick out of California in 2007, Bishop was released by the Packers recently after missing all of last season due to a hamstring injury. He started 25 games over the 2010 and '11 seasons as an inside linebacker in the Packers' 3-4 defense.
Bishop is expected to compete for playing time at both middle linebacker and weakside linebacker.
He'll be 29-years-old in July.
