In this week’s Travel Thursday, AAA gives you an idea of how many people actually turn off their phone when traveling on an airplane.
A new survey by the Airline Passenger Experience Association found that almost 30 percent of fliers don’t actually turn off their phones when the flight attendant tells them to.
About one in five people said they sort of listen by turning their phones onto airplane mode.
This, despite FAA rules requiring the phones be fully off below 10,000 feet so they don’t interfere with the plane’s navigation equipment.
