The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is continuing to investigate multiple north metro grass fires Saturday, but late Sunday officials said they didn't think the fires were intentionally set.

Andover Fire Chief Dan Winkel tells KSTP at this time DNR investigators don't believe arson was a factor.

Investigators were looking into arson as a possible cause because of the high number of fire calls between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m., and the multiple ignition sites.

The fires broke out in the Anoka-Andover area, Wyoming and East Bethel-Coon Lake area.
