Advocates Rally at MN Capitol for Disabilities Funding
Hundreds of advocates for people with disabilities gathered to send a message to Minnesota legislators at the capitol Thursday.
The group is hoping funding for folks with disabilities and their families will remain a priority as the House and Senate debate spending bills this season.
Gov. Mark Dayton addressed the crowd and admitted that Health and Human Services are at risk of cuts. He used the platform to tout his plan of raising income taxes on the wealthiest Minnesotans to close the deficit and prevent cuts from happening.
