SLIDESHOW: Supercross Motorcycle Racing Returns to Metrodome
Supercross motorcycle racing returned to the Metrodome Saturday night for the first time since 2008.
Among the riders who hit the dirt course at the Dome is Chaska-native Ryan Dungey, who currently stands third in the AMA Supercross series rankings with four events to go.
Aside from being a geographical homecoming for Dungey, he returned to the Dome floor where he had a breakthrough performance in 2008 - finishing second just hours after signing on with a Target sponsorship that he still carries to this day.
5 EYEWITNESS NEWS was at the Metrodome to watch Dungey warm-up for the weekend's race, along with Elko-native Zack Williams and Marvin Musquin - a former world champion in a Eurpoean motocross series. Dungey and Musquin are members of Red Bull/KTM supercross team.
