Gallup Poll: Minnesotans Feel Safer Than Other Cities in Nation
While Minneapolis has seen more homicides this year than in the same time last year, many residents feel safer here than residents in other large cities around the nation.
Eighty percent of residents living in the metro area say they feel safe walking alone at night, the Gallup poll showed.
The Twin Cities are followed closely by Denver, Raleigh, N.C., Boston and Salt Lake City.
Crime statistics weren’t available for all cities surveyed, but there is a strong connection between the FBI’s violent crime rate and how safe residents feel.
