Cold Didn't Stop Fans From Hitting Twins Home Opener
More than 38,000 fans braved the cold temps for the Twins home opener. Dressed in hats, mittens, boots and snow pants they filled Target Field for a sold-out game.
"Baseball is meant to be played outdoors," said Dale Hlavke from Minneapolis.
Luckily, Target Field was designed for weather like this. There are hundreds of heaters hanging throughout the stadium and the field has an underground heater that keeps the temperature at 65 degrees.
