Construction Project Underway along Hwy. 36 in Maplewood

A construction project is underway along Highway 36 in Maplewood.

According to MnDOT, during the construction crews will remove a stoplight on a busy stretch of Highway 36.

The project will permanently close the right turn lane from eastbound Highway 36 to southbound English.

A portion of Highway 36 will close for two months in mid-June during construction.

A nearby trail will also temporarily close during the construction.

MnDOT says the construction will improve safety and efficiency along the Highway 36 corridor in Maplewood.
