U President Asks for $1.2 Billion in State Funding for 2 Years
University of Minnesota president Eric Kaler talked school finances Tuesday at a state senate committee at the state Capitol.
Kaler introduced ways his school could save money. He said he wants the university to be as economically efficient as possible.
Kaler also asked for $1.2 billion over the next two years for the university's budget.
If the budget is fully funded, the U would freeze tuition during that time, Kaler said.
