Minn. Company Creates Device for Severe Acid Reflux

A Minnesota-based company has created a first-of-its-kind device to help people suffering from severe acid reflux.

The device, called Linx System, is now approved by the FDA.

It's implanted around the esophagus to make the reflux barrier stronger. That way, acid reflux can't happen easily.

It does require a minimally invasive surgery that takes about an hour, and full recovery takes about two weeks.
