University of Minnesota Sprinkler Malfunction

A sprinkler malfunction at the in the University of Minnesota's Wallin Medical Bio-Science Building brought the Minneapolis Fire Department to campus.

The call came in just after 11 a.m. Sunday.

The University News Service says that because there was no danger, University of Minnesota Building Services will further handle the situation. They are on scene assessing damage and water amounts.

None of the labs in the building were affected and there is no biohazard threat, according to the University.

Two floors were affected by the break and clean-up is underway.
