MN Delegation Introduces Bill to Fight Spread of Asian Carp

Minnesota's Congressional delegation is getting the ball rolling on a process that would protect our state's lakes and rivers from Asian carp.

Legislation introduced Thursday would kick-start talks about closing the Upper St. Anthony Falls Dam on the Mississippi River in Minneapolis. That could be a key passageway for the invasive species.

The bill would also require immediate closure of the lock if Asian carp are found.

The DNR is in support of the bill.
