Local Flower Shops Prep for Valentine's Day Rush

You may need to get a card or chocolate, but don’t forget to get flowers for that special someone.

Local flower shops are up early prepping for the biggest day of the year.

KSTP talked to Tom Johnson, of A. Johnson & Sons Florist, about what sells the most on the Hallmark holiday.

Johnson said about 15-20,000 roses get sent on this day, and 75 percent are red.

As of 7 a.m., five trucks were already sent out with a ton of orders.
