Rubio Added to Rising Stars Challenge

Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio was a late addition to the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge draft and he was picked by Charles Barkley to play on TEAM CHUCK.

The Rising stars game is part of the All-Star Weekend and will be played on Friday, Feb. 15 in Houston, Texas.

Rubio played in the Rising Stars challenge last year and scored 12 points with seven assists for Shaquille O'Neal's team.   Rubio is averaging 6.1 points and 6 assists per game this season with the Timberwolves.  

Wolves rookie Alexey Shved was also drafted by Barkley and will be teammates with Rubio.
