St. Paul City Council Approves Crime Lab Money

The police department was forced to fight for nearly three quarters of a million dollars.

The city council gave Assistant Chief Bill Martinez an earful before they decided what they were going to do with crime labs.

The council went ahead and gave the department their added contingency money, roughly $700,000.

KSTP’s Todd Wilson said that the money is needed for added staffing and improvements of the infrastructure of the crime lab.
