EmailParents, Experts Discuss Trends in Youth Drug Use
In the south metro Monday night, experts and parents talked about the current trends in youth drug use.
The event was held at a Lakeville middle school. It was led by Carol Falkowski, former drug abuse strategy officer at the Minnesota Department of Human Services. Falkowski also is one of 21 researchers who participates in a national drug abuse monitoring network.
Officials from the Dakota County Attorney's Office and local police departments also participated.
The topic Monday night was prescription medication. They discussed how available prescription drugs are to young people and what parents should be looking out for.
