U of M Brings Farm Fresh Food to Schools

The University of Minnesota is helping out in a "Farm to School" effort.

The U is partnering with local Ag groups to host several workshops across the state.

They are inviting farmers, school leaders, health professionals to learn about how those groups can work together to put locally grown food in school cafeterias.
    
Organizers say the problem is typically connecting farmers with buyers, so they're hoping this helps.
    
The eight workshops start today and run through April.
