On the Road: Snowmobile Memorial

Avid snowmobiler John Brandt always dreamed of building a trail shelter along the Yukon Trail near his home in Two Harbors, Minnesota. 

He found the perfect spot too, a high point in the woods with a panoramic view of the nearby Superior National Forest.

When John died in a snowmobile accident last winter his family and friends decided to carry on and construct a beautiful solid log refuge in his honor.

Jason Davis goes "On the Trail" with the members of the Voyageurs Snowmobile Club for the first public viewing of this unusual tribute in the woods.
