Andersen Windows Retires Longtime Product

They say when one door closes, another one opens. That holds true for windows as well.

We attended a retirement party at Andersen Windows in Bayport Thursday, celebrating their Narroline window.

For 50 years, it was the one of the company's most popular wood models. But it's time to pass the torch to a variety of newer products. Andersen employees, past and present looked back on the Narroline's decades of success.

"That window is the best selling wood window in the history of our industry. Not only here in the United States, but anywhere in the world," said Jay Lund, Anderson Windows President and CEO.

The Narroline is in 50 million homes across the country.

Andersen will donate the last Narroline windows to the Minnesota Historical Society.
