MN Coalition for Battered Women Releases Annual Report

The Minnesota Coalition for Battered Women released its annual report Tuesday, using it as a time to address their concerns.

The group is pushing for policies that will help put an end to domestic violence.

They'd like to see public safety as a priority, regular screening for domestic violence - including in schools and health clinics - and coordinating community action.

St. Paul Police Chief Tom Smith says with partnerships already in place, domestic violence related deaths in St. Paul have dropped 65 percent since 2005.

Fourteen women were killed in Minnesota last year as a result of domestic violence.
