EmailSLIDESHOW: Winter Carnival Hot Air Balloon Rally
Eleven hot air balloons participated in Saturday morning's Winter Carnival Hot Air Balloon Rally. The event was held in recognition of the first hot air balloon race held in the United States.
The balloons launched from White Bear Lake, the same place as in the first race in 1962.
One of the original pilots from the 1962 race, Hall of Fame aviator Don Piccard, was part of Saturday's event.
