Columbia Heights city officials unveiled a memorial Thursday to commemorate the city as a place of peace and opportunity.
The Columbia Heights Community Heritage Tower is the third and final monument built since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. According to Mayor Gary Peterson, the monuments of peace serve as a reminder to citizens that they are safe and can live in harmony with others.
