Crashed Ice Off to Late Start Due to Cold Temps
Thursday's Red Bull Crashed Ice competition was delayed due to 'extreme cold.'
Officials with Red Bull Crashed Ice tell KSTP the cold weather is causing chipping on the ice track.
Crews were working to repair the track and it got underway at 5 p.m.
The US Time Trial was originally slated to kick off at 1:30 p.m.
Mayor Chris Coleman and several city council members tested out the course earlier in the day Thursday.
There will be road closures in place in downtown St. Paul beginning Thursday near the St. Paul Cathedral.
