Crews Battle Flames and Subzero Temps in Robbinsdale

Firefighters from two cities worked in the sub-zero temps Monday.

A home in Robbinsdale started on fire this afternoon on Grimes Avenue.

Fire fighters from both Brooklyn Center and Robbinsdale battled the flames. Officials say no one was living in the home because it was being renovated.

No one was hurt. The cause is unknown.

In these cold temperatures, crews are generally rotated more often. Fire officials say slipping on the ice is another concern as all the water they use freezes.
