Hennepin County to Run Drills on Ice of Lake Minnetonka

If you see some commotion on Lake Minnetonka don't be alarmed.

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office and Excelsior Fire Department will be training on the ice.

The training will be at the Deephaven Public Launch near Minnetonka Blvd & Vinehill Road.

They will be running drills for rescuing snowmobilers who break through the ice at night starting at 8 p.m.

First responders will be out there with vehicles, equipment, and protective gear.
