Rochester Mom Sentenced for Drunk Driving Crash with Kids in Vehicle

A 31-year-old Rochester woman was sentenced for driving drunk and crashing with her children in the vehicle.

According to Dakota County attorney James Backstrom, Kyra Lindsey was driving on Highway 52 near Hampton Feb. 28 with her five children in the car.

Lindsey crashed, and four of her children suffered minor injuries.

She pled guilty last November to two counts of Criminal Vehicular Operation and one count of Child Endangerment.

She was sentenced to five days in jail, 15 days of electric home monitoring and one year of probation.
