Metro Transit Ridership Continues to Grow

From the road to the rails, the number of riders on buses and trains is on the rise in the Twin Cities.
    
Metro Transit says ridership topped 81-million in 2012. That's up more than 165,000 rides or .2 percent over 2011.
    
It's the third year of increased ridership and the sixth year in a row in which ridership topped 76 million.
    
That type of growing trend hasn't been seen since 1983.
