Minnetonka Moccasin Drops Target Lawsuit

A Minneapolis-based company has withdrawn a lawsuit against Target.

You may remember back in September we told you about Minnetonka Moccasin filing a lawsuit against Target, accusing Target of copying its trademarked Thunderbird design.

Court documents didn't say if the two companies worked out a deal, and neither company has commented on why the lawsuit was dropped.

Minnetonka Moccasin says it has used the design since the 1960's, and it's a registered trademark.

According to the complaint, the shoe company says it contacted Target last year and offered to let Target sell its shoes.

Then in 2012 Target allegedly started selling moccasins with a similar design.
