Cats Claw for Crown in St. Paul Competition

More than 200 cats from the U.S. and Canada will compete for the title of “Best Cat” at the Saintly City Cat Club’s 37th Annual Championship and Household Pet Cat Show.

As many as 26 different breeds will be judged in four classes:

  • Kittens
     
  • Championship
     
  • Premiership
     
  • Household pets

 

A king and queen cat will be caped and crowned at the end of the competition from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m., Jan. 26 and from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Jan. 27.  It will be held at the RiverCenter complex located in the Roy Wilkins Exhibition Hall in downtown St. Paul.

Adults can pay $4 and children and seniors can pay $3.

A portion of the profits will be given to the Winn Foundation, Cornell Feline Health Center, CFA Animal Relief Fun and area Humane Societies.

The Saintly City Cat Club, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the health and welfare of all felines and to educate the public about felines.
