EmailMN Reports First Flu-Related Death of Season
The flu has claimed it's first Minnesota victim of the season.
The Minnesota Department of Health says the patient was a man in his 60s who had other health problems.
The number of patients hospitalized because of the flu across Minnesota has doubled from 30 to 65 this week.
In the week ending Dec. 15, 47 schools reported flu-like illnesses, according to the health department. Since the start of the season, 77 outbreaks of flu-like illnesses in schools have been reported.
