Three Salvation Army bell ringers are aiming for $30,000 in 30 hours.
Jeremy Lilyquist, Derek Gilbert and Linda Lewis are teaming up to carry on a tradition. A woman named Helen McCombie started the annual marathon, ringing the bell alone for five years.
Lilyquist and Gilbert began ringing at Country Market in Hudson at 3 p.m. Tuesday. Lewis began ringing at the Walmart in in New Richmond at the same time.
