Afton Alps Gets New Owner

A Minnesota ski resort has a new owner.

Vail Resorts bought Afton Alps in Hastings.

The company picked up Afton in a 20 million dollar deal which also included a ski resort near Detroit.

They plan to make upgrades to Afton, although details on any changes haven't been announced.

Current season pass holders will immediately get a 25 percent discount on lift tickets at Vail Resort ski areas.
