INTERVIEW: Minnesota Native Leads Team USA Crashed Ice Team

A Minnesota native is among the favorites to win the upcoming Red Bull Crashed Ice World Championship in St. Paul.  He has upset several higher-ranked skaters to a second-place finish.

He is making history as the first American to take the podium in the 13-year history of the sport.

KSTP had Cameron Naasz in to talk about what his secrets are to win the championship and how he got involved in Red Bull Crashed Ice.

Naasz was a hockey player at Lakeville South, and said he has had a lot of extreme sport experience.

He said he snowboards, mountain bikes and used to be an aggressive roller blader.

If you want to tear up the ice at the championship, there are tryouts on Jan. 6 at the Xcel Energy Center.
