5 EYEWITNESS NEWS names Lindsay Radford as News Director 12.14.07

Lindsay Radford has been named News Director of 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS. The announcement was made this afternoon by Rob Hubbard, General Manager. Radford has held positions from Executive Producer to Assistant News Director of 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS over the past 4 years. She will now oversee the television station’s daily news operation which includes 35 hours of locally produced news each week.

“After an extensive local and national search, we found the perfect person for this job right here at our station,” said Hubbard. “Lindsay is well respected within our news department as a seasoned journalist and proven leader.”

In response to the announcement, Radford said, “I’m thrilled to take my responsibilities to the next level. Our news product resonates with Minnesota viewers and I believe that our news philosophy will continue to spur growth in the ratings.”

Before joining 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS, Radford was Executive Producer at WVIT-TV in Hartford, CT.  Prior to that she held positions at KCNC-TV in Denver, CO, WCCO-TV in Minneapolis, MN, KKTV-TV in Colorado Springs, CO, KVIA-TV in El Paso, TX and CNBC.

Radford graduated from Northwestern University with Bachelor and Master Degrees of Science in Journalism. She and her husband reside in St. Paul, MN with their newborn son.
