Authorities Investigate Apparent Homicide in Western Wis.

Authorities are investigating after an apparent homicide in the Village of Milltown.

According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, authorities received a call Dec. 1 that an ambulance was needed at an apartment on Main Street East because someone was 'hurt badly.'

When officers responded they found a woman, later identified as 47-year-old Kari Roberts, dead from what appeared to be blunt force trauma injuries.

Roberts lived in the apartment with 45-year-old Scott Youngmark.

Authorities located Youngmark at his mother's home, which was where the call to authorities had been made.

Youngmark admitted to making the call, but denied causing trauma to Roberts.

Authorities believed Youngmark was under the influence of alcohol which was a felony bond violation.

He was out of jail on three open felony cases in Polk County. He was given a portable breath test, which confirmed alcohol on his breath.

Youngmark was taken into custody on the violation of his bond.

Authorities believe Youngmark was involved in Roberts' death.

Charges have not yet been filed.
