Holiday lights fill Nicollet Mall every Sunday through Thursday for Holidazzle. You still have a couple weekends left to check it out.
KSTP’s Megan Newquist had Leah Wong, of Minneapolis Downtown Council, in to talk a little bit about the parade and where it originated.
The parade started in the 1990s, and this is the 21st season of Target Holidazzle Parade.
It started to get people back to shop downtown, promote holiday shopping and get people to experience everything that Minneapolis has to offer during the holidays.
People can expect floats, lights, holiday spirit, music along the route.
Every night there is a different choir and marching band too.
