Bobby Vee Debuts Select Pieces in Art Exhibit

After many years of quietly painting for enjoyment, recently retired 60s singing icon Bobby Vee is debuting select pieces of his work for the first time.

An exhibit of Vee's work opened Friday evening at The Satellite Gallery, 15 E. Minnesota St. in St. Joseph. It's open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

"Idyllic scenes echo his small town Midwest roots mixed with random images and original works from various periods," an exhibit announcement says. Digitally reproduced limited edition signed prints will be available.

Proceeds will go to the Bobby Vee Foundation for the Arts in support of central Minnesota arts and education.
