Richfield Considers Building $1 Million Bandshell

Is one million dollars to much to spend on a bandshell??? Richfield held a public meeting Thursday night to try and find the answer.

The city is considering building the bandshell in Veterans Memorial Park. Some believe it would bring better concerts to the city, but others say the building would be a big waste of money. Richfield would put in $250,000 from liquor store proceeds, the rest would be raised privately.

The city is conducting a study to find out if there's interest in the project. A decision could be made sometime next year.
