Giants Ridge Set for Saturday Opening

The Giants Ridge ski mountain in northeastern Minnesota is set to open this weekend.
    
The ski area in Biwabik will be open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
    
Warm weather had earlier prompted Giants Ridge to postpone the opening of its ski area.
    
The Mesabi Daily News reports the resort will be open Saturdays and Sundays until opening seven days a week beginning on Dec. 21.
