Former Shattuck-St. Mary's Teacher Appears in Court

A former Shattuck-St. Mary's teacher appeared in a Rice County courtroom Wednesday.

Joseph Machlitt's bail continues to be set at $50,000 with conditions and $100,000 without.

He's accused of sexually abusing a 14-year-old student on at least two occasions when he was teaching at the school.

He's charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct.

Machlitt is scheduled for another hearing in December.
