Document: Cut Proposal for Mpls. Park Board

Programs could be trimmed at 6 recreation centers in Minneapolis if the Park and Rec Board approved proposed cuts to its budget tonight.

They are looking at pulling back hours from 28 per week, to 14 hours per week. They say the change could save a total of $88,000 a year. It's just one of the many cuts being considered.

Resident will hear a proposal of a 1.7-percent tax hike at the meeting tonight.
