Mpls. Uses New Signs for Snow Emergencies

This winter there's a new system to make sure everyone knows about snow emergencies.

Electronic message signs in Minneapolis will tell you when there is a snow emergency.

Mayor R.T. Rybak and a city council member tested the system Tuesday morning.

The city already uses text alerts, emails, phone calls and social media to make sure drivers know when to move their cars.
