COLUMN: Aaron's Backstage Pass: The Trash Pack Review
I just received a very interesting game to try from Activision for the 3DS called “The Trash Pack.”

The game is based on the “Trash Pack” toy line from Moose Toys. They are a line of collectable toys that are very disgusting and hilarious. They remind me of the “Garbage Pail Kids” cards from the 80’s. The “Trashies” are all pieces of trash that have human characteristics and unique names.
There are over 100 characters in the toy line and there is also a garbage truck that you can buy to store all of them in.
“The Trash Pack” for the 3DS is a very fun and simple game. The game does not really have a story and you just jump right into playing the game.
There are four different mini games that you can play:
-
Trash Catch – You control a garbage truck and try to catch as much garbage as you can as it falls through the air.
-
Trash Drop – You have to fling the “Trashies” through the air at a crane that is holding garbage. If you hit the garbage it falls into garbage cans.
-
Trash Toss – You have to throw different “Trashies” into garbage bins. A target appears above a trash can and you have to try and hit.
- Trash Attack – You have to collect different cans while avoiding garbage dropping on you.
I thought that the games were pretty simple to learn and the controls were also easy to figure out.
The graphics were great and the 3D effects looked amazing.
There is also a digital poster in the game. As you play “The Trash Pack” you can unlock different characters and they appear on the digital poster.
It is pretty fun trying to get all of the characters and it makes the replay value of the game pretty good in my opinion.
Overall I really liked Activision’s “The Trash Pack.” It is a game that you can just pick up and play here and there and the graphics were really good. I think that kids who want a fun and disgusting game to play will really like “The Trash Pack” a lot.
