Eller, Minneapolis Reach Settlement
Former Vikings great Carl Eller has reached a confidential settlement with the City of Minneapolis.
Three and a half years ago he sued the city, accusing police officers of assault, using excessive force, and destroying evidence after he was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.
Eller eventually served a 60-day sentence in the Hennepin County Workhouse after the April 2008 arrest and conviction.
Eller's attorney, Al Goins, said in a statement Tuesday evening "Mr. Eller is happy to get this behind him. We arrived at a mutually satisfactory settlement with neither side admitting liability."
