Giants Ridge Postpones Ski Area Opening

Warm weather is prompting Giants Ridge in northeastern Minnesota to postpone the opening of its ski area.
    
The Biwabik resort says it will not open its ski area this Friday. The Mesabi Daily News reports Giants Ridge has tentatively rescheduled the opening for Saturday, Dec. 1.
    
According to a posting on the resort's website and Facebook page, the weather is expected to get colder this weekend, allowing crews to resume snow-making.
