Minnesota is ranked #1 for Turkey production and is also home to the largest turkey hatchery company.

According to Minnesota Turkey Growers Association, Minnesota Farmers produced about 46 million birds in 2011. Many were shipped out to Mexico, China, Russian, Canada and Hong Kong.

3. Morrison
4. Becker
5. Steele
6. Rice
7. Lyon
8. Ottertail
9. Fillmore
10. Dodge

Jennie-O Turkey Sore is the world's largest processor with plants in Willmar, Melrose, Montevideo, Pelican Rapids and Faribault.

The National Turkey Federation estimates that approximately 45 million turkeys are eaten at Thanksgiving, 22 million at Christmas, and 19 million at Easter.
