Lindstrom Man Rescued from Lake

A man, rescue from the frigid water of North Lindstrom Lake in Chisago Lakes Township Tuesday afternoon, is in fair condition.

26-year-old Andrew Simonette was kayaking near the middle of the lake when his boat overturned. Witnesses called the Sheriff's Office to say they could see a person in the water holding onto the kayak.

When Fire crews arrived Simonette already had been pulled from the water. He was taken to Wyoming Fairview Lakes Hospital with hypothermia.

The sheriff's office said he was not wearing a life jacket and that is was unclear how long we had been in the water.
