Rice Park Christmas Tree Cut Down, Enroute
With the buzz of a chainsaw crews removed a 60-foot-tall, 16-foot wide spruce tree from its stump Monday. This tree will be the centerpiece of St. Paul's annual Rice Park winter wonderland.
A St. Paul family donated the tree. Crews will transport the tree on the back of a trailer to Rice Park where it will be covered with 15,000 lights.
The tree lighting ceremony is at 5 p.m. on November 24th.
