Hopkins Residents Prepare For Cold Weather

There's a big weather system moving in that will drop the temperatures outside significantly.

And folks seems to be scrambling to get those last minute outdoor chores done, because they won't need the gloves on Saturday, but Sunday they definitely will.

At Hance Ace Hardware, workers pulled out the snow shovels and put them on display today.

A worker at the store said that "they've been selling leaf bags like crazy" as people try to get their lawns cleared.

She said many Hance Hardware customers were "browsing over the snow blowers" and that they were also buying up gloves.

Driskills Foods also says the Saturday night crowd has been busy stocking up, with people wanting to stay inside Sunday, our first really chilly day of the fall so far.

We also saw some people out and about putting up their holiday lights!
