Best Buy Employees Pack Holiday Boxes for Troops
Workers at Best Buy headquarters in Richfield helped honor veterans Friday by packing more than 3,500 holiday gift boxes for troops serving in Afghanistan.
The gift boxes include technology accessories such as flash drivers, DVDs and X-Box games, along with personalized notes, pictures and letters from kids. The boxes also include special noise-cancelling headphones to help soldiers better hear their loved ones when they call home using Skype or other internet calling services.
Best Buy's "Operation Patriotic Endeavor" organized the gift box drive. It was created in 2011 by members of the company's Military Employee Business Network.
